If you are interested, this is the basics of how it works:
1. Sign up at http://www.thegrocerygame.com/. The first 4 weeks are only $1 and you can cancel anytime during your 4 week trial if you don't want to continue.
2. Clip coupons from Sunday's paper/other sources and organize them.
3. You'll get a weekly list of the lowest-priced products of the stores of your choice in your area. After the trial period, you are charged $10 for the first list every 8 weeks and $5 for each additional list. For example, if you want the lists for CVS & Winn-Dixie, you will pay $15 every 8 weeks.
4. The list tells you what items are on sale each week and pairs it with coupons from Sunday's paper to show you maximum savings. The idea of the game is to stockpile and buy items that you use while they are deeply discounted instead of buying them as you need them at the premium price.
Well, that's the basics and you can find out more on their website including FAQ and Game Rules. It really proved to work for me tonight at CVS. I only bought items that I had a coupon for and were on sale! This will take a little extra time but it is well worth it if I can save 50% or more on my grocery bill! I'll update after I've done it for a few weeks and let you know how well it is working for me. Try it out and if you put my e-mail in that I referred you, I can get some free weeks! jlwdavis@hotmail.com
Happy Shopping!
