2008 - Our Year In Review

I can't believe that 2008 is over. It's been a great year and we have so many great memories from this year. We've enjoyed being a family of 3 and Brian & I have enjoyed watching Addie grow from a baby to a toddler this year. Each passing year seems to go by faster and faster so I try hard to enjoy life and live for today. We feel so blessed and can't wait to see what is in store for 2009!

Christmas Day 2008

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas morning was so much fun with Addie. She was so excited and amazed with all of her new toys. Brian, Addie & I did Santa Clause and opened presents from each other. Then, Nammie & Pa-paw came over to see what Santa brought to Addie and also told us that there was another surprise outside for Addie. Here are some pictures from Christmas morning:

This is the special surprise that was outside for Addie:

And this was her reaction: She was very excited about her house:

After playing hard, Addie took a good nap and then we went down to Nammie & Pa-paw's to eat and celebrate with Brian's family.

They had so much fun with each other.

Addie with her Nammie. Her pajamas read "What Santa doesn't bring, Grandma will!" and that is so true!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is over and we are quickly approaching the new year. We are so blessed and the Lord has been so good to us this year. We look forward to the new year and all that is to come.
God Bless!

Santa!

I just went and peeked in the living room and I think Santa came! Addie was a good girl today and went to bed early so Santa came already! I can't wait for her to see it in the morning!

I took another picture of our Christmas tree and the presents today. Our living room will be complete chaos in the morning so I wanted to get another good picture.

Addie helped bake cookies for Santa tonight. After we set the cookies out, I caught her sneaking a taste of the chocolate chips:

Here's a flashback to Christmas 2007. So much fun! I can't wait until morning!

I must get to bed now! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Home for the Holidays!

This is going to be a huge picture post from last weekend. We went back to where I come from to celebrate Christmas with my family. We had two big family gatherings this weekend. Saturday, we had Christmas with Dad & Penny (Nana & Papa) and my brothers & sisters & their children. Everyone enjoyed being together and Nana fixed us a wonderful meal. The older boys, Tristen & Will, were about to burst to open presents and they had a blast playing a treasure hunt with Papa and "Black Bart"! And the little ones, Jeanne, Addie, Chloe & Jake, are all between the ages of 1 and 2 so they were all over the place into everything. It was so much fun! Then, we all went to Bellingrath Gardens to see the beautiful Christmas lights.

Here is our annual family photo:

On Sunday, we went to my sister, Lalonie's house to celebrate with her family, our mom, and grandmother. We had more good food and Tracy fried a turkey for us. Then, the kids had fun opening their presents from each other.

Lindsey, Rhein, & Mary Hannah:

Namesakes: Lindsey, me, & Addie. Lindsey was named after me (Jennifer Lindsey) and Addie's full name is Adelynn Claire named after Lindsey Claire.

Rhein & Tracy. Rhein was so sweet and bought everyone gifts with his own money. He had a gift for everyone and was so excited about giving out his gifts. He really got the meaning of giving this year.

Well, I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. We are excited about Santa coming to see us tomorrow night. Addie has been a good girl and I can't wait to see her excitement on Christmas morning. We work until noon tomorrow and then we will be off work Thursday & Friday. Addie's daycare closed Friday and won't reopen until January 5th. Nammie has been keeping Addie this week. She works at the University and gets this week and next week off work so we are so thankful that she is able to keep Addie for us.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
