He arrived at our house last weekend to meet Addie. He watches to make sure that Addie is being a good girl and then he flies back to the north pole every night to tell Santa. He is in a new place when she wakes up every morning. The only rule is that you cannot touch him or he will lose his power. We had to pick out a name for him so we let Addie help. When she first saw him, she kept saying "What's that?" and it sounded more like "wat tate?" in Addie talk so we named him "Tayte." She loves looking for him each day and surprisingly she hasn't even tried to touch him. He also has a book that tells all about him and a place to record his name and when he became a tradition to our family. We are excited about this new tradition and we've already had so much fun with it this week. And, I happened to catch him on camera the other night while he was watching us decorate the tree. Without further ado, please meet our elf, Tayte:
P.S. Thanks Mrs. Johnnie!

Jennika, now I am already having a real problem with this santa stuff and now there is a dog gone flying "magical" elf...... okay okay America is taking this a little too far! What would Jesus think about all of these flat out fibs that we are telling our children??? I mean do you feel good about yourself? hehehehehe I am just kidding!!
My class has a magical elf that visits the classroom and watches them during the day and causes mischief or leaves surprises when they are out of the room. Yesterday they wrote Santa letters asking for a class elf. He will make his debut on Monday!
